Contemplative Prayer How is God’s Word working in your life? After reading Sister Virginia’s message above, you see how it calls you to "be still." It is through "being still" that we can know God, as stated in Psalm 46. That is what contemplative prayer is meant to do—to allow God to make Himself known to us through His Word and our stillness.
